People Power Participation (PPP) – Citizens’ Forum on the Stockholm process
People Power Participation started in 2011 with the idea of creating a dialogue between citizens across Europe on themes of continental importance. The project also aimed at creating a common platform to voice common concerns to European institutions, and the European Parliament in particular.
Twenty five participatory forums were organized in Bulgaria, France, Italy, Spain, Romania and the United Kingdom.
The forums focused on labour rights, civil rights (of migrants, LGBT and Roma people), media freedom and fight against organized crime. The project was such a success that it became an integral part of European Alternatives’ work programme and it is now in its third year of existence.
